Maybe. But often times, it's the same. We've seen that they have the power to impose physical difficulties as well as mental ones.

But for something like this... wouldn't they have to build a whole new world for each of us?

I think there's a different level of effort between making us believe there's a new world and actually creating one. It's a dream.

It's likely just another of the Animus' tricks. And I know how easy it is to say when you're not asleep, yes. But if there's no way to tell the difference between two realities--if each one feels real--then honestly... it's up to you to choose. If the dreams continue after the week ends, that is.
